Swift Transport Services based in Dandenong South have a position available for an experienced and highly professional sales person to drive new business. We deliver all over Melbourne and country Victoria same day express with a fleet ranging from 1 Tonne Trays and Vans to Semi Trailers. We pride ourselves on ensuring all of our clients receive an excellent service for every delivery.

The main focus of this role is strategically growing the business whilst maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients. Must be skilled in negotiating, presenting and securing suitable work.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • proven experience and success in selling local express transport services (in particular local taxi truck work; both adhoc and permanent)
  • experience selling interstate services
  • extremely professional and well presented
  • excellent negotiation skills and ability to secure valuable work
  • ability to adhere to growth targets and KPI’s
  • ability to account manage and develop strong business relationships with clients
  • experience in training and monitoring sales staff

We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated, loyal and looking to be long term member of our team and an excellent representative for the company. Please note that this is a senior position, requiring a high level of sales/BDM experience in the industry.

FLEET CONTROLLER

Swift Transport Services Dandenong South have a courier Fleet Controller position available for an experienced and motivated professional.

Position requires genuine experience as a Fleet Controller in the express adhoc Melbourne courier industry using a despatch system (FMS/ TPLUS/ Carry or similar) and also experienced in bookings/quoting courier & taxi truck work.

On offer is an excellent environment, technology and negotiable salary for the right person who is looking for a long term stable role within a great team.

Hours are generally either 7am-4pm or 9am-6pm Monday to Friday, must be able rotate & be reasonably flexible.

    SUBCONTRACT OWNER DRIVERS

    Are you interested in becoming an owner driver?

    We welcome expressions of interest in our subcontract owner driver roles.  Here are some facts about what we do here at Swift Transport Services!

    • Our drivers are a mix of drivers who work in our company owned fleet and also subcontract owner drivers, with vehicles ranging from 1 tonne vans and trays up to 14 tonne trays and tautliners.
    • Our clients are Melbourne based and our deliveries are predominantly business to business.
    • The goods we carry vary from tiny items like envelopes up to 14 tonne loads forked or craned on.
    • Our drivers do a mixture of adhoc deliveries and permanent runs.
    • The vast majority of our deliveries are completed between 6 am and 5 pm.
    • The feedback from our drivers is that they love the variety, technology, our wonderful clients and our excellent experienced despatchers who work hard to provide them with excellent delivery runs.
    • You will require an ABN, current license and insurance as an owner driver.

    We have a huge emphasis on safety at Swift Transport Services. Our drivers are subject to safety and conduct inductions, our despatchers also complete safety courses annually. When you sign up with Swift, you will be shown exactly how to comply with our safety standards (safety management plan) and those set out by the NHVL.  We will also provide you with details about Chain of Responsibility, Safe Loading/Unloading/Driving as well as other important information designed to keep you, our clients and the general public safe.
